Which one should you pick?

  • Pick PRWeb if you write your own releases and want a known wire at a low public price (from US$120).
  • Pick eReleases if you want PR Newswire national distribution and journalist target lists, and you can add writing for US$300. Agencies can also look at its reseller credits.
  • Pick Press Elevate if you do not want to write the release and want to approve the draft before you pay.
  • Pick PRWeb or eReleases instead of us if you already have a finished release and a low price matters most.
  • Pick none of the three if you want named reporters to cover you. That is pitching, a different job.

What can a paid release not do?

A paid release is published or sent out. A newsroom can see it and may choose to cover you. Nobody can honestly promise that, or a ranking, or a number of visits. Longer answer: Are press releases worth it?

Short answers

Is eReleases cheaper than PRWeb?

No. PRWeb’s public tiers run from US$120 to US$480 per release and eReleases from US$399 to US$699 (read 4 Nov 2026). They are different products, so compare what each tier includes.

Does PRWeb or eReleases write the press release for you?

eReleases sells writing for US$300 on top of a package. The PRWeb compare page lists no writing service (read 4 Nov 2026). At Press Elevate, writing is included.

Can a paid press release get me press coverage?

Not by itself. A paid release is published on news and finance sites. Their journalists did not write it. A newsroom may choose to cover you, and we never promise that.
