What a paid press release does
A paid release is a short, dated article. You approve it. It is then published on news and finance sites. That gets you four things.
- It puts your facts on the record. Your company name, product, date and what changed, in your words, on pages with a date. Anyone who looks you up can check them.
- It gives you indexed pages. Your release goes out on 400+ news and finance sites, or 500+ with Global Coverage. It is indexed by Google, Google News, Bing and Yahoo. You do not have to build or host those pages yourself.
- It helps search and AI tools find you. When a person or an AI tool looks you up, third-party pages that say what you do give them more to find and check than your own site alone. With Global Coverage the release is also sent to AI search engines for indexing. Whether any engine shows or cites it is up to the engine.
- It gives you a report you can show. Every live link in one report, plus an “As seen on” badge for your website. Useful when an investor, partner or customer asks whether you are real.
What a paid press release does not do
- It does not make a journalist write about you. A paid release is published on the news and partner sections of those sites. Their journalists did not write it. A newsroom can see it and may choose to cover you. We never promise that. Be careful with anyone who does.
- It does not guarantee traffic. Placements can bring some visits. Nobody can honestly promise a number. If you need visitors this month, a paid ad is a better fit.
- It does not guarantee a ranking or an AI citation. We publish and submit your release. Search engines and chatbots decide what to do with it.
- It cannot fix a weak story. A release with no real news in it reads like an ad.
- It cannot be edited after it is published. That is why you approve the draft first.
Who it suits
- A startup with real news: a launch, a funding round, a partnership or a milestone.
- A team that wants a clear, checkable trail of links to point people to.
- Founders who want the same plain facts about the company on third-party pages.
- Anyone who would rather approve a draft than write one.
Who should skip it
- You have no news yet. Wait until you do.
- You want named journalists to cover you. That is pitching, and it is a different job. A release will not do it for you.
- You need guaranteed traffic, sign-ups or sales.
- You want a ranking promise. No honest seller can give one.
- Your topic is on the not-accepted list. Yahoo Finance, for example, refuses crypto and law-firm releases. See our Coverage Terms.
A quick way to decide
Search for your company name today. Does the first page tell a stranger what you do, in your words? If not, a release can help fill that gap. If you hoped for press coverage and a flood of visitors, it will let you down.
Set your goal first. Then check if the price fits.
What it costs here
Core Coverage is $899, one-time. Global Coverage is $1,499, one-time. It adds the podcast version and AI search indexing. We write the release. You approve the draft before you pay. Placements keep arriving for at least 48 hours, so give your report about two days to fill in. See the full price list.
Short answers
Will a press release get me press coverage?
Not by itself. A paid release is published on the news and partner sections of news and finance sites. Their journalists did not write it. A newsroom may choose to cover you, and we never promise that.
Will a press release bring me traffic?
Placements can bring some visits. We cannot promise a number. If you need visitors this month, a paid ad is a better fit.
Can a press release help me show up in AI search?
It can give search engines and AI tools more third-party pages that state who you are and what you do. Whether any engine or chatbot shows or cites it is up to that engine.
